Summary | This course is only available to ECA students on degree programmes belonging to the School of Art.
This course will consolidate your knowledge and understanding of the impact of placing work in the public domain through presentations to internal, external and public audiences. You will be encouraged to use appropriate strategies and methods of contextualisation to reveal connections between art works and their conditions of production and presentation.
Aims
1.To define the understanding of effective methods of contextual and visual presentation within a social situation.
2.To enable you to determine a personal approach to recording, disseminating and documenting art work in a variety of contexts.
3.To enable a critical reflection of the interaction between art works and social situations through appropriate professional practice strategies.

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Identify: Identify and present evidence of a self-directed autonomous practice.
- Synthesise: Building on previous experience present evidence of critical evaluation in the location of artwork within the broader context of current practice.
- Communicate: Present evidence of the testing and application of appropriate solutions to the dissemination, presentation and exhibition of your work through clear and precise strategies to informed audiences.
