This course is only available to students on BA Combined Studies (School of Art). |
Course description |
Students may choose to undertake this Course in illustration, graphic design, animation or other means of visual communication and will attend relevant classes to support their choice of project. Group crits and tutorials will support studio based work and help develop core skills in research and resolution of ideas.
Students will be asked to consider what is meant by visual communication and how this differs from art based projects: this differentiation and the subsequent consideration of audience/client needs to be thoroughly researched along with the background ideas for projects. Students should consider the relationship between what they wish to communicate and the method they choose to do this as well as how their own research ideas fit in to a particular process.
