| Summary | This course involves studio-based work in which rigorous experimentation and research in contemporary architectural design techniques takes place. It develops the design experimentation conducted in 'Design Project 1', and culminates in a thoroughly resolved architectural proposal for a specified urban setting. The range of knowledges and skills developed in courses in architectural theory and digital design are expected to be thoroughly integrated into this architectural proposal. |

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Undertake architectural design work of an advanced standard on the basis of a critical understanding architecture's relation to the larger field of cultural production.
- Think creatively about architectural design and its implications for contemporary urban contexts.
- Articulate appropriate theoretical dimensions of architecture and creatively mobilise them within a digitally informed design practice.
- Evaluate a range of design techniques and apply selected techniques appropriately within a given professional context.
- Show leadership within an architectural design team by demonstrating skills in research, design, discussion, writing, and presentation.
