Year 2, Academic year 2014/15, Starting month: August
Notes: For entry to honours, students much achieve (1) an *average* of 50% at the first sitting across the mandatory Philosophy courses taken in the second year, ie Mind, Matter and Language (MML) and Knowledge and Reality (K&R); and (2) a minimum of 40% in each of these courses (MML and K&R) achieved at the first sitting.

Year 3, Academic year 2014/15, Starting month: August
Notes: Where the dissertation in Year 4 is taken in Philosophy, students have two options: (i) to take two further option courses in philosophy and be examined on 5,000 word essays for each course, or (ii) to register for the dissertation completion course and write one 8,000 word essay on a topic to be arranged with the department. All students who take the dissertation in philosophy must complete the Philosophy Dissertation course in Year 3.
