  • Notes: Students who have passed courses to the required value of 240 credits in the first two years, and achieved marks of 50% or more at the first attempt in all required second-year courses for their registered degree, are normally entitled to progress to honours.

    At least 30 weeks of approved residence in the relevant countries. The minimum period of residence in the country of either of the languages will be eight consecutive weeks.



  • Year 4, Academic year 2014/15, Starting month: August

  • Notes: Final Assessment: One unit of assessment is allocated to every 20 credits and constitutes one 20-credit paper. The following are the twelve 20-credit papers on which the classification of the degree is based. (Papers that for the purposes of degree classification acquire a weighting of 40 credits are, therefore, listed twice.). 1. (Italian 4 Honours Language Paper 1). 2. (Italian 4 Honours Language Paper 1). 3. (Scandinavian Studies 4 Honours Language Paper 1). 4. (Scandinavian Studies 4 Honours Language Paper 1). 5. (Oral for Italian). 6. (Oral for Scandinavian Studies). 7. (MEL Dissertation Preparation (same mark as 8) or Socrates Marks or Year Abroad Assessment). 8. (MEL Dissertation Completion or MEL Long Essay). 9. (Honours course option in Italian). 10. (Honours course option in Italian). 11. (Honours course option in Scandinavian Studies). 12. (Honours course option in Scandinavian Studies).
