  • Notes: (i)Students who have passed courses to the required value of 240 credits in the first two years, and achieved marks of 50% or more at the first attempt in all required second-year courses for their registered degree, are normally entitled to progress to honours.
    At least 30 weeks spent in the relevant country and prescribed work in European Studies and the relevant language in an approved establishment.

  • Notes: Final Assessment One unit of assessment is allocated to every 20 credits and constitutes one 20-credit paper. The following are the twelve 20-credit papers on which the classification of the degree is based. (Papers that for the purposes of degree classification aquire a weighting on 40 credits are, therefore, listed twice.) 1. (Scandinavian Studies 4 Honours Language Paper 1). 2. (Scandinavian Studies 4 Honours Language Paper 1). 3. (Scandinavian Studies 4 Honours Language Paper 2). 4. (Scandinavian Studies Oral). 5. (MEL Year Abroad Work (Socrates Marks or MEL Year Abroad Essay)). 6. (MEl Year Abroad Work (Socrates Marks or MEL Year Abroad Essay)). 7. (EUS Dissertation Preparation (same mark as 8)). 8. (EUS Dissertation Completion). 9. (European Institutions). 10. (European Institutions). 11. (Honours option course in Scandinavian Studies). 12. (Honours option course in Social Policy or Scandinavian Studies).
