    Overarching rule A below applies to students continuing from Year 1. Overarching rule B applies to Direct Entry (POE2) students.



  • Year 3, Academic year 2014/15, Starting month: August

    Progression to Honours requires a grade 'C' performance in Dynamics and Vector Calculas at first sit.



  • Year 4, Academic year 2014/15, Starting month: August

  • Notes: Before making your course choices, please ensure you have met your Personal Tutor and consulted the Programme Guide: http://www.ph.ed.ac.uk/progguides

    Progression to Honours requires a minimum average grade of 'C' performance in MP2A: Vectors, Tensors and Fields and MP2B: Dynamics, OR in Foundations of Mathematical Physics

    Progression to the final years of the Mphys programme requires no less than 55% overall in Junior Honours and a maximum of 20 failed credits (CAA). This is in addition to the general progression requirements
