Notes: Entry into Honours normally requires (i) passes in all six subjects taken in the first two years, and (ii) a mark of 50% or above at the first attempt in the second year of the relevant Modern European Language.
(iii) Students who have passed courses to the required value of 240 credits, and achieved marks of 50% or more at the first attempt in all required second-year courses for their registered degree, are automatically entitled to progress to honours. Students who are planning on spending their Junior Year Abroad must successfully progress to honours efore they can proceed on their JYA.
At least 30 weeks spent in the relevant country and prescribed work in Politics and the relevant language in an approved establishment.

Notes: Final Assessment: One unit of assessment is allocated to every 20 credits and constitutes one 20-credit paper. (MEL Dissertation Preparation OR Year Abroad Assessment (same mark as 8)). 8. (MEL Dissertation Completion OR MEL Long Essay). 9. (Dissertation in Politics). 10. (Dissertation in Politics). 11. (Honours option course in Italian). 12. (Politics option).
