Notes: Students who have passed courses to the required value of 240 credits in the first two years, and achieved marks of 50% or more at the first attempt in all required second-year courses for their registered degree, are normally entitled to progress to honours.

Notes: Final Assessment: One unit of assessment is allocated to every 20 credits and constitutes one 20-credit paper. The following are the twelve 20-credit papers on which the classification of the degree is based. (French 4 Honours Language Paper 1). 3. (French 4 Honours Language Paper 2). 4. (French Oral). 5. (Year abroad marks for Social Policy). 6. (Year abroad marks for Social Policy). 7. (MEL Dissertation Preparation OR Year Abroad Assessment (same mark as 8)). 8. (MEL Dissertation Completion OR MEL Long Essay). 9. (Honours option course in French). 10. (Analytical Perspectives in Social Policy). 11. (Social Policy Dissertation). 12. (Social Policy Dissertation).
