  • Notes: Entry to Honours requires passes at 50% or above at the first attempt in two of Analogue Circuits 2, Digital System Design 2, Signals and Communications Systems 2, and also in one of the Informatics 2 courses, together with passes in all other compulsory courses, or the permission of the relevant Head of School.



  • Year 3, Academic year 2014/15, Starting month: August

  • Notes:
    1. Courses listed here are all level 9. However, with the permission of the School Curriculum Approval Officer, 10 points may be taken at level 10 to assist in preparation for the Honours project.
    2. For accreditation purposes, students must select Professional Issues (Level 10), normally in 4th year.
    3. Progression to year 4 normally requires passes in at least 100 credit points worth of courses, including "Resit for Professional Purposes", AND an average of 40% across all courses. See the year guide for full details.



  • Year 4, Academic year 2014/15, Starting month: August

  • Notes:
    1. The Honours Project may be chosen from either Electronics or Informatics.
    2. For the award of Honours, a minumum mark of 40% must be attained in the BEng Electronics Project 4 or the Honours Project (Informatics).
    3. For accreditation purposes, students must select Professional Issues (Level 10), normally in 4th Year.
    4. Graduation normally requires passes in at least 100 credit points worth of courses, including "Resit for Professional Purposes", AND an average of 40% across all courses. See the year guide for full details.
    5. Entry to the 4th year normally requires two or more prior years of instruction in a UK institution, or satisfactory completion of English language training as indicated by a TEAM test.
    6. Students must take at least 40 credits worth of courses in the school in which they do not take their project.
