Course description | Saints cults played an important part in the life of all members of late medieval European society and in the definition of political and social communities. The course examines the many functions fulfilled by saints cults in late medieval Scotland at both the national and local level. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
The principal objective of the course is to provide students with specialist knowledge and understanding of the cult of saints in late medieval Scotland. Students will emerge from the course having developed a sufficient degree of expertise in the subject to undertake a Masters dissertation. |
