Course description | 'Process of Care - Gastrointestinal System & Oncology' is one of the four courses covering all of the systems of the body. These integrated courses will bring together basic scientists and practicing clinicians to teach about the presentation, diagnosis and management of the diseases affecting the different body system. The course will build on learning from courses in digestion, nutrition and disease mechanism in the early years. One group of students per week will be attached to the Oncology Unit at the Western General Hospital to learn general principles of cancer care. Most of the teaching will take place within teaching hospitals although there will be some element from general practice. |
