Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this course, the candidate should understand:
- diseases of importance that pass between wild and domestic animals at the physical interface with a focus on infections impacting trade in animals
- diseases that are transmitted through vectors between livestock and wildlife and the influence each community has on the overall prevalence and impact of the disease
- contact rates in relation to the competition for the resources shared between wildlife and livestock - forage and water.

Assessment Information
| Formal summative written assessment will constitute 60% of the student's grade. Online discussion in both a synchronous and asynchronous environment will contribute further to the final mark. In combination with the submission of electronic course assignments, these elements will provide the remaining 40% of the final mark. |
