Course description | The overarching theme of this course would be to examine how evolution can directly pose a threat to human and animal health. In particular we would address infectious diseases where the agent is evolving sufficiently rapidly that we can observe evolution in action over timescales short enough to have direct public health consequences through changes in virulence, drug resistance, infectiousness, pathology or epidemiology. |
