Course description | The course explores the rise of the global economy. Our chief concerns are with the forces of economic globalization, in particular with the issues surrounding trade, and the international migration of labour, capital, and technology, and their impact on incomes throughout the world economy. Ultimately we seek to understand the processes of economic development, why economies grow and why some have grown more quickly than others, and how the connections within the world economy have stimulated or have retarded economic development |
