Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Relating to Animal Body 3 students should be able to:
understand the structure and function of the peripheral and central nervous systems;
understand the structure and function of the locomotory system including the role of the nervous system in control of posture and locomotion
understand the principles of control of the body systems of the animal by nerves and hormones as well as by intrinsic mechanisms;
understand the contributions of the following body systems to homeostasis: cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, endocrine;

ANIMAL BODY 3 WRITTEN EXAMINATION (80%) Year 2
Module 1: December exam 2012 (48%)
1) Short question paper (17%) & MCQ (8%) -2 ½ hours.
2) Interpretation exam (17%) 2 hours.
3) Spot Exam (5%) 1 hour and 15 mins
Module 2: March exam 2013 (32%)
1) Short paper (11%) & MCQ (6%) 2 hours.
2) Interpretation exam (11% of total) 1 hour and 40 minutes.
3) Spot exam (5% of total) 1 hour and 15 mins.
