Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Successful completion of this course will be demonstrated by the ability to:
1. locate NT passages in their literary and historical context, and to make comparisons with relevant contemporary texts;
2. interact with modern scholarly debate, primarily through the use of commentaries, reference works, journals and monographs discussing the relevant passages;
3. argue a coherent case by handling the textual and historical evidence that attends the biblical text;
4. engage in a close reading of texts, demonstrated through written work and oral presentation.

Assessment Information
One essay. Essay 40%; Degree exam 60%.
In order to pass this course, students must obtain a minimum of 40% in each of the above assessed components. |
