Course description | This course offers a grounding in the skills and techniques of representation necessary for architectural design, including analogue and digital drawing and three-dimensional modelling. It also serves to introduce students to a wider range of representational media and practices in the fields of art and design. It offers the insights into the expressive and communicative possibilities of disciplines related to architecture and encourages interdisciplinary collaboration.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Awareness of a range of representational techniques and how these may be activated within art and design practice and support the wider communication of ideas;
2. Awareness of a variety of media and methods of production in contemporary art and design practice, and a capacity to appropriately evaluate them with a reflective, critical and integrated approach.
3. Ability to work to deadlines and explicitly convey ideas in a well structured and coherent way. |
