Course descriptionThis course in spoken and written French is designed for students who have some knowledge of French (approximately Standard Grade/GCSE level) and who wish to extend it. All students take all elements of assessment including the degree examination (2 hours).

GROUP A: Monday & Thursday 2pm - 4pm

GROUP B: Tuesday 4pm - 6pm & Thursday 2pm - 4pm

Please note: there will be a limit of 20 students per class. If a class reaches capacity, you will need to choose another group.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Improved competence in the four main skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing French. This greater competence is intended to lead to greater confidence and to enhance the ability to learn independently.
Assessment Information
Regular coursework including class tests and oral assignments.
Coursework 55%; exam 45%.
Special Arrangements
This course is open to all students. DELC students may only take this course if it over and above their full credit load, as in a non credit bearing course.
