Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
The course aims to investigate three principal areas of musical activity - theatre, church and chamber music - and to relate them to the social and political climate of the times. As well as reading appropriate books and articles , students will be expected to familiarise themselves thoroughly with this repertoire: to study the scores, and to listen to as much of the music as possible. Students will also be encouraged to make links between musical and architectural styles at Versailles. |
