Course description | Building on those concepts introduced in "Introduction to GIS and spatial data analysis" this course will look at derived prediction spatial models using point data, leading to surface analysis and probabilities of presence and absence of disease. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this course students should be familar with the concepts of remote sensing, statistical spatial models and time series analysis. |
Assessment Information
Formal summative written assessment will constitute 60% of the student's grade. Online discussion in both a synchronous and asynchronous environment will contribute further to the final mark. In combination with the submission of electronic course assignments, these elements will provide the remaining 40% of the final mark. |
Special Arrangements
This course will be taught entirely by distance learning, using the virtual learning environment of WebCT as a delivery platform. Course materials are protected by username and password controlled access which will only be made available to registered users. |
