Course descriptionSecond semester. This post-introductory course is normally intended for students who have successfully completed Introductory Spanish (ELCH07001 or ELCH07002) or have reached an equivalent standard (Standard Grade/GCSE).

All students take all elements of assessment, including the examination.

Prohibited Combinations Other requirements A pass at 50% or above in Introductory Spanish or Spanish at Standard Grade or equivalent evidence of proficiency. No students on programmes owned by DELC will be admitted.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Following Introductory Spanish, this course will further develop your knowledge of the language in a wide variety of situations using more complex vocabulary and grammar.
Assessment Information
Regular written exercises in class and two class tests (weeks 4 and 8), worth 40% and a degree exam worth 60%.
Special Arrangements
This course is open to all students. DELC students may only take this course if it over and above their full credit load, as in a non credit bearing course.
