Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Why EM surveying is complementary to seismic surveying; why it can reduce exploration risk; optimisation of field parameters for maximum signal/noise ratio; methods to reduce organized noise, e.g cultural noise (50 Hz, 60 Hz and harmonics) magnetotelluric noise, and the air wave; the need for, and limitations of, forward modelling (1-D, 2-D, 3-D) and inversion. |
