Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. - plan and conduct a substantial piece of research over a protracted period;
2. - identify and define pertinent research questions - synthesise, critically evaluate and analyse a body of literature;
3. - choose and use correctly an appropriate research methodology to approach a research problem;
4. - structure and logically construct a report on a piece of research. |
Assessment Information
A dissertation of approximately 10,000 words in length.
The marks for these courses will be finalised at the October exam board rather than the June exam board.
The dissertation will be marked independently by two members of the academic staff one of whom will be the dissertation supervisor.
