Course description | This course will introduce students to theories of children's psychological development (social, emotional, moral) and differing perspectives within that. Through providing an overview of different models of child development including biological, individual and systemic models, students will be encouraged to critically appraise these theoretical frameworks and to consider what predicts 'healthy' development. In addition, the course will invite students to apply developmental theory to real life examples thus encouraging critical reflection on the utility of such models to enhance current practice/experience. |
