Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
| The Module aims to extend still further students' experience in and understanding of the Scottish Gaelic literature of the last three centuries, to increase their familiarity with, and powers of expression in, Scottish Gaelic, and to provide a detailed introduction to the analysis of the contemporary varieties of Gaelic, its variation, sociolinguistic position, and future prospects. Students will emerge from the Module with a sound competence in speaking, reading and writing Scottish Gaelic. |
