Course description | This course provides non-native Japanese students with the essential translation skills, also covering relevant theoretical implications. The course is divided into two teaching blocks: students will have the opportunity to participate in five specialized translation seminars in conjunction with Japanese Language 4A (Translation from English to Japanese) for the first block, and then take part in a supervised small group translation project during the second block. Through this group work, students will gain hands-on experience of translation processes such as planning, peer-to-peer (P2P) modes of learning and assessment, editing, and presenting the finished product. |
