Course description | Indicative course content
Students will work on a creative project involving preparing & importing files from a range of media into a layout using page layout software. Students will be encouraged to incorporate non-digital elements such as sketches & drawings and to keep a notebook or log showing the development of their ideas. The main packages used in the course will be InDesign CS2 & Photoshop CS2 (including working between Photoshop & Autocad), with Illustrator CS2 at an introductory level.
Aims of course
1 The module will emphasise the integration of digital media from both bitmap & vector based packages, together with non-digitally generated work such as drawings & sketches, in ways that communicate design work clearly, appropriately & creatively.
