Course description | This course explores how evolutionary thinking can provide new and important insights into health and disease. It will focus on questions such as: why are parasites harmful; how, why and when do parasites traits evolve; can evolutionary principles inform medicine; how do hosts and parasites co-evolve; how does the immune system evolve; why do we have allergies; why does senescence occur in old age? |
