Course description | This course will discuss various aspects of parasitic diseases and public health, including epidemiology, diagnosis, eradication, drug therapy, vaccination and primary healthcare programmes in developing countries. Pathogens discussed include examples of waterborne and zoonotic infections, eg. cryptosporidiosis, giardiasis, toxoplasmosis, echinococcosis, trypanosomiasis, scabies and the Scottish midge. |
