Course description | This course is designed to enable students to prepare thoroughly for researching, writing and submitting a dissertation in Philosophy. Students will receive guidance on identifying a suitable area for research, constructing a research proposal and preparing an annotated bibliography / literature review. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, students will be able to:-
- construct a concise and practical research proposal;
- make optimal use of available resources and explore topics through independent study;
- identify and utilise relevant texts as part of their research;
- be in a position to proceed to the the primary researching and writing-up of their dissertation in Year 4. |
