| Course description | The course provides a systematic comparison of some of the major normative traditions. Examples of such traditions are the utilitarian and Kantian contractualist traditions. The course looks at what exactly these traditions agree and disagree about. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
| To develop further the philosophical skills, and to extend as well as deepen the philosophical knowledge, acquired in previous philosophy courses. |
Assessment Information
| This course will be assessed by an essay approximately half way through the semester worth 35% and an end of semester take-home exam essay worth 65%. |
