Course description | This course is an integral component of the taught MSc degree programme, The Second World War in Europe (History). It deals with the exploitation of both ethnic minorities, in Germany and its empire in particular, and foreign labourers conscripted to work in Germany. It also considers forced population movements, both during the war and through expulsions - especially of ethnic Germans from eastern Europe - at the end of the war. And it deals with the persecution and extermination of targeted minority groups, in particular Jews in German-occupied Europe. |
