| Course description | Via a series of lectures and seminars, the course will introduce topics regarding the psychology and sociology of music, including perception and cognition, communication, trust and self-esteem, and music in the community.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
| Students will gain an understanding of the currently emerging bio-psycho-social paradigm for human music-making, with specific reference to psychological and sociological theories, and will develop the intellectual facility to apply this knowledge to specific practice. |
