Course description | This course will build upon the experience gained in Music in the Community 3. An individual programme of study will be worked out in consultation with the course organiser and will include a year-long placement with some leadership responsibilities. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
- Students will have gained further experience in using creative and improvisational skills with individuals and groups.
- They will have developed leadership qualities within one or more placements, working with professional musicians and with other students in one or more community situations.
- They will have analysed and evaluated their own placement work and reflected on its outcomes in a written submission.
- They will have come to an appreciation of the roles and limitations of music in a variety of community and therapeutic situations. |
Assessment Information
A final essay (35%) based on the placement reflective diary of not more than 5000 words.
Assessment of the placement work by professional project leaders (50%).
Assessment of contribution to project work by professional project leaders (15%) |
