Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Students will develop their listening skills through the aural analysis of a wide range of musical pieces.
Students will acquire a broad knowledge of various elements of musical expression, such as pitch, rhythm, timbre, texture and structure.
Students will be able to aurally recognise various more complex harmonic progressions.
Students will be capable of accurately transcribing more complex melodic and four-part harmonic dictations. |
Assessment Information
One class examination (50%) and one degree examination (50%).
Visiting Student Variant Assessment: One class examination (100%). |
