Course description | This course examines some of the interactions between Islam and the various faces of 'the modern world' during colonial and post-colonial periods. A case-study approach will be used to identify currents of thought influencing such interactions. This will offer a basis for exploring 21st century issues. Case studies will be variously approached through student presentations, class discussion of set reading, and lectures. |
