Course description | The main objective of this component of Persian 4 will be to address the works of canonical Persian writers of the ninth through twentieth century and relate their careers and the style and substance of their literary contributions to trends and events in classical and contemporary Iranian society. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
Students will evaluate primary and secondary materials relating to the study of Persian literature. Thereby the course aims also to develop students analytical skills and to improve their interactive capacities and their ability to do secondary-source research and to present oral and written work clearly and effectively. |
