Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
| At the completion of this course, the student will understand the role of donors (individuals, corporate and governments) and their relationship to the developing countries, critically analyse the impact of philanthropic capitalism, be able to assess and evaluate interventions based on aid and emergency appeals, appreciate concepts such as global responsibility and accountability in the context of aid provision to the developing world. |
Assessment Information
| Assessment will be based on various online activities including written submissions (web forms), discussion fora and reflective review. Extensive use of selective release (requiring the student to complete one task before being permitted to proceed to the next) technologies will be made to facilitate interactive and dynamic online assignments. |
