Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course the candidate should appreciate
* Past innovations and their effect on disease control and development
* Successes and failures of practical application of scientific findings in the field
* The framework of opportunity for innovations in developing countries
* The social mechanisms of uptake of innovations
* Assessing the practical, financial feasibility and sustainability of practical application of scientific developments
* Funding of projects for converting scientific findings into applications

Assessment Information
Formal summative written assessment will constitute 60% of the student's grade. Online assessment will incorporate a variety of activities will constitute 40% of their overall course grade and is taken to represent a formative assessment of learning throughout the programme. |
