Course description | This module will address current theory and practices in assessment, teaching and learning and relates them to the diversity of pupils/students who have additional learning and/or support needs. The context is one of entitlement to appropriate education that 'is directed to the development of the personality, talents and mental and physical abilities [of learners] to their fullest potential'. The range of approaches explored, with relevant research and theory, will help teachers/lecturers to meet the educational needs of whole classes, groupings within classes and individuals.
