Assessment Information
Stage one:
Formative assessment consists of 4 individual, essay type submissions on different topics within the module, specific topics titles negotiable with participants. (1-1,500 words, excluding appendices.) An interim mark is awarded for each of these essays, and an overall provisional mark based on the total average of the four marks. These essays are normally submitted in stages through the period of undertaking the module at intervals of about 2 weeks. This is to allow for feedback and improvement of competence in writing academic discourse based on critical discussion of theory and practice issues.
Stage two:
Participants may accept the interim overall grade as final, or they may redraft and extend on of these papers should they wish or need to improve their grade. |
