Course description | Teaching is widely regarded both as a profession and as a form of 'reflective practice', and is commonly supposed to involve the application to practice of forms of theory. In the light of widespread debate and controversy in the academic and theoretical literature of professional teacher education and training, this course sets out to explore different contemporary conceptions of professionalism and 'reflective practice', and competing models of the 'theory-practice' relationship as applied to education and teaching. |
