Course description | The placement will be a full time, 10-week, experience during the Autumn Term. For most students, preparation for this placement will include successful completion of Education 2 and its practicum and placement. Prior to this placement students will visit their designated school to identify the 'technological' subjects and classes suitable for the placement. They will then plan and discuss an appropriate sequence of work which includes lessons and attention to the various aspects of the school's organisation and professional roles within it. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
A compulsory course consisting of three parts
a) Placement preparation of 10 taught hours in Week 1 (University based)
b) A nine week full time placement in a Secondary school teaching those subjects which contribute to technological education (Design and Technology)
c) Post placement review |
