Course description | This course has two main components:
Cognitive Apprenticeships - the concept of cognitive apprenticeship as it relates to technology teaching is discussed here.
Design Realisation - the role of resistant and non-resistant materials in the realisation of a design concept continues to be investigated. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course the student will be able to:
i. Decode a project brief to elicit that what is required by the 'customer'.
ii. Conduct a 'search', internally (the mind) and externally (library or www) to obtain relevant information.
iii. Select use and justify divergent thinking techniques to create ideas for consideration.
iv. Select use and justify convergent thinking techniques to decide upon ideas for development.
v. Design an innovative resource for teaching purposes. |
