Course description | The aims of this module are: 1) to understand the counselling relationship within a dialogue between person-centred and psychodynamic perspectives; 2) to explore the experiencing of client and counsellor in the relationship, with reference to such concepts as narrative dialogue and process; 3) to locate the counselling endeavour within historical, contemporary and professional contexts; 4) to prepare course members for their counselling practice placements and enable them to achieve placement readiness. This module is available only to those students selected for and about to undertake the Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling. This module costs an additional 390 pounds. |
