Course description | This course provides an advanced exploration, analysis and application of the therapeutic relationship as conceptualised within the person-centred approach and psychodynamic perspectives. It examines current debates in counselling and psychotherapy. Key themes and issues are related to the therapeutic work in which practitioners engage. Students are therefore expected to draw on their own therapeutic work within class sessions. The ethical and confidentiality issues raised by this are discussed in the first session. |
