Course description | The aim of this module is to develop understandings of self, and introduce the idea that the self can be understood in the context of both present and past relationships with others. The person-centred approach and psychodynamic perspectives on the self and relationships with others will be critically examined |

By the end of the module, students should be able to
- explore, critically evaluate and apply a range of theories of the self and relationships drawn from the person-centred approach and psychodynamic perspectives
- experience and reflect upon a developing repertoire of listening and responding skills
- connect theoretical learning on self and others with their own personal and professional relationships |
