Course description |
The overall objective of this course is to develop your business skills through deploying your learning and knowledge gained from the MBA to date as well as from your previous professional lives. Through the marketplace live simulation, we will place you into an international business setting where you will run a company for two years in compressed time (eight rounds of decision-making). You will work closely with a team of fellow students to manage a highly complex and integrated business. Personal leadership and strong interpersonal skills will be necessary to succeed.

&· Have gained insights into the challenges faced by entrepreneurs by starting up and running a new business venture

Teams' overall performance judged via the simulation balanced score card 60%
VC Prospectus 10%
Peer assessment 10%
Final Board Report 20%
Assessment Criteria:
Components of the balanced score card will be circulated after decision round 3 but it requires teams to carefully manage key strategic operational and market metrics The VC prospectus will be judged upon;
The quality of the Performance Review, assessment of current situation and the strength of strategy of the company.
The persuasiveness of the investment proposition.
The final Board report requires teams to present an overview of the company&©s last 2 years of activities and success to a level equivalent to that of public quoted company report. A separate section of the board will require the group to provide a open and reflective commentary on their group processes and lessons learnt.
