Course description | The aim of this course is to develop student understanding of the role of entrepreneurial thinking in new venture creation and approaches to running a fast growth organisation. The course combines the intellectual and practical skills for the learner in the understanding and critical evaluation of the entrepreneurial process, and its emerging role in new business formation and growth. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
The objective of the course is to develop students? analytical skills for use in the following areas of business:
Entrepreneurial business management in technology, family and social enterprises.
Large firm change management encompassing intrapreneurship, innovation management, SME acquisition & partnering.
Consultancy services such as small business economics, market research and business strategy.
Policy making to include government support for enterprise, knowledge and commercialisation.

Assessment Information
Individual assignment (60%) ? opportunity discovery processes and outcomes (details to be provided during the course).
Group Assignment (40%) - a group presentation setting out the feasibility plan (opportunity, market, funding plan, revenue projections) for the launch of a new high-growth potential business OR an entrepreneurial case study plus teaching note.
